Supply chains connect the world.
Yet most of them remain invisible beyond a single step.
1Left1Right was created to change that. See the whole chain

About The Founder

Bringing structure where chaos reigns.

Some ideas don’t go away.

After 25 years in supply chains, Jan-Wrister saw the same pattern everywhere: companies have data, systems, and processes, and yet lack visibility beyond their direct partners.

Decisions are made with incomplete information. Problems are discovered too late. That didn’t sit right. He believes supply chains should enable both performance and responsibility. That profit and purpose reinforce each other, especially when companies can see the bigger picture.

1Left1Right was built to add what’s missing: validated information across the entire chain.

Our philosophy

Supply chains should not be invisible

Most companies operate with only part of the picture, and adding more data or reports does not solve that. The real problem is not a lack of information, but a lack of connection between that information across the supply chain.

What is needed is a shared view of the supply chain, built on confirmed information between companies, that goes beyond direct relationships and reflects what is actually happening.

That is what 1Left1Right enables by connecting companies one step left and one step right, allowing a network of facts to emerge.

Our platform

About 1Left1Right

1Left1Right is a supply chain transparency platform that enables companies to see what really happens across their supply chains.

Most organisations only have visibility one step upstream and one step downstream. Beyond that, information becomes fragmented, outdated, or invisible. As a result, risks are discovered too late and decisions are made based on assumptions rather than facts.

1Left1Right changes this by enabling companies to exchange and validate data with their direct partners. Through this mutual confirmation, each connection becomes part of a growing network of verified supply chain information.

The result is a shared, trusted view of the supply chain. Not based on surveys or estimates, but on confirmed data between companies.

By building on existing relationships and systems, 1Left1Right allows organisations to gain earlier insights, detect risks sooner, and track real progress across the chain.

Because better visibility leads to better decisions.

The Bonus

Profit and purpose, in balance

Some people think you have to choose. Build a profitable business, or build a sustainable one. Serve your customers, or serve the planet.

We don’t believe that. The companies that perform best are not the ones that pick a side. They are the ones that see profit and purpose as outcomes of the same thing: visibility. When you can see your chain, you make better decisions. Better decisions reduce waste, lower risk, and improve margins. They also lower emissions, surface non-compliance, and reveal opportunities for circularity.

The visibility that helps you anticipate disruptions is the same visibility that makes your CSRD reporting accurate. The confirmed data you use for forecasting is the same data that proves your sustainability claims.

We don’t ask companies to choose between doing well and doing good. We give them the visibility to deliver both.

Mutual confirmation:

When supply chain partners confirm the facts together

1Left1Right takes a different approach.

Instead of asking companies to describe themselves, the platform focuses on confirmed relationships between companies. Each organisation confirms its connections and relevant information with its direct partners: one step left with suppliers and one step right with customers.

Both parties confirm the data. From these confirmations, a network of verified supply chain connections emerges. This creates a shared view based on what companies actually confirm with each other, rather than on assumptions or estimates. The result is a growing network of trusted supply chain data that provides information you can plan with and act on.
